26 March 2009 : Shinjiru in support of Earth Hour
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 26 Mar, 2009 – Shinjiru, Asia’s leading dedicated server and web hosting provider, has partnered with World Wide Fund to provide full hosting facilities in support of the Earth Hour movement in our country Malaysia. Shinjiru has confirmed its involvement by providing the hosting platform and support to host – http://www.earthhour.org.my; the official Malaysian Earth Hour website.

Earth Hour is an annual campaign led by WWF that calls for worldwide action on climate change. This year, every light switched off from 8.30pm and 9.30pm will count as a vote for action. The results of this vote will be presented by WWF at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen later this year.
“We can’t stop our operation for an hour as we are an internet service provider and our servers are required to run 24/7. However what we can do to contribute to the cause is by sponsoring top of the range hosting server with unlimited resources and support to maintain our nation’s initiative in supporting this global campaign. We also ensure that the website runs on a green server that is energy smart with low carbon footprint.” said Terence Choong, Chief Executive Officer of Shinjiru Technology.
“Apart from this, we will also place an Earth Hour banner on our main page that will re-direct all traffics to the official Earth Hour website. Hopefully, this will raise the awareness levels and encourage more people to make energy reduction a priority even after this campaign is over.” he added.
Shinjiru is also encouraging employees and their families to participate in Earth Hour this 28th March by turning off lights in the office and at home between 8:30pm – 9:30pm.
Jeffrey Khow, Head of Regional Sales and Marketing said: “If we manage to take home the low-carbon message to our families and joined up with the rest of the world, the impact of the Earth Hour will last much longer than 60 minutes and could benefit future generations to come.”
10 February 2009 : Improved Semi Dedicated Server
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 10 Feb, 2009 – Shinjiru, Asia’s leading dedicated server and web hosting provider, today has re-packaged its Semi Dedicated Server (SDS) plans to satisfy the current market demands for improved server performance, increase in server resource and effective server management that does not require a high initial investments of a dedicated server.

“Shinjiru’s Semi Dedicated Server (SDS) packages are meant to fill the gap between a Virtual Private Server (VPS) and a Dedicated Server. This package is catered for websites that require burstible memory resources (RAM) whenever needed but less on processor resources (CPU). VPS providers limited memory resources. All SDS plans include 24×7x365 support.” said Terence Choong, Chief Executive Office of Shinjiru Technology.
